You know given some of the disagreements I've had with the UCI's decisions at the Tour this eyar it's kind of weird to pretty much entirely agree with one of their statements but their response to the Lance/Radioshack/Livestrong jerseygate is really rather good.

Finally got to see a stage of the Tour de France actually live on my TV and maybe it was a Time Trial but it was well worth watching!

Before I post about today's stage I would just like to post further proff that Jens Voigt is more awesome than... well more awesome than EVERYTHING. Stage 16 in his own words.
Everyone hoped today's stage would bring drama and a GC battle... what we definitely did get was mist and insane fans and the world's fastest sheep...

Four climbs today, Col de Peyresourde, Col d'Aspin, Col du Tourmalet and Col d'Aubisque, all of which are pretty tough! The minute it became clear Armstrong was trying to the stage the word's "Queen Stage" (meaning hardest) got thrown around. I'm not sure whether it's true or not. It was certainly a pretty stage!

So three day's worth of Tour de France? And we're in the exciting mountains bit! IDK this will probably be even more rambling than usual :P
Plus the fact that the main thought at the forefront of my brain tomorrow is that they're going over the Col de Portet d'Aspet which is where Fabio Casartelli crashed and died in the 1995 Tour ( Read more... ) -
